An app built with the DeepSpace SDK and deployed with npx deepspace deploy, live at its .app.space link or on a custom domain connected through DeepSpace. The deploy has to happen during the round you enter. An older app counts if you deploy it again during the round.

No. Entering is free and a free DeepSpace account is enough to deploy. You never need to add a payment method.

Creating your account from the challenge join link, before you log in from the terminal, is how your challenge credits find your account.

When you submit, we open your link to make sure it's live, and check that the app is on the DeepSpace account you signed in with. If something is off, the form tells you exactly what.

Yes. You can submit several apps in a round. XP counts for up to three entries per round. An app that did not win can come back improved in a later round.

Teams of up to 4 can enter. The person who deployed the app submits it and lists each teammate's name and DeepSpace email. A team prize is split evenly, and each person's share is paid by their own eligibility.

Fun and bragging rights. You earn XP for joining, deploying, shipping and the reactions you get. The board ranks XP each round. It does not decide prizes.

Each target pays once: 2,500 credits for your first entry, 2,500 more for entries in two rounds, 5,000 more for three different apps, 2,500 more for 25 reactions on one app, and 5,000 more when an app reaches 25 users. 100 credits are worth $1. Credits are added to your account within about 7 days of the round closing. See section 7 of the rules.

DeepSpace staff score every valid entry after the round closes: usefulness and originality (35%), craft and polish (30%), use of DeepSpace (20%) and clarity (15%). Winners are posted here within about 5 business days.

Cash goes to winners who are 18 or older and are US citizens or green card holders, paid through a US payment method. Everyone else, including people in the US on a visa, gets the same value in DeepSpace credits.

Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize. When you win, we ask for your name, that you're 18 or older, your country, for cash that you're a US citizen or green card holder, and how you'd like to be paid.

Yes, and we encourage it. New DeepSpace apps include the DeepSpace skill, so agents like Claude Code and Cursor can build and deploy with you.

Not this season. Everyone who enters has to be 18 or older.
